Step 1 Warm up

1Greetings.

  Glade to see you . Do you like kites/stars/singing/…? What do you like ?

3Sing a song Twinkle , twinkle , little star

二、Presentation

1.star导入课题Unit 9  Shapes

Look at the star , it’s a shape . Now this class we’ll learn Unit 9 Shapes. Can you spell ? s-h-a-p-e

2.Learn ‘Art , teach…about ’

T: Boys and girls , look at my cards , I am an ________teacher. Am I an English teacher ? No,I’m an Art teacher . I’ll teach you about shapes.

3.rectangle

                   What shape is the picture ?

                    It’s a rectangle .

分音节指导朗读rec-tan-gle 指名读

师生问答,生生问答。

4square

          What shape is the picture ?

                Is it a rectangle ? It’s a square .

 Chant :  Shape ,   shape .  What shape is the picture ?

         Square ,  square .  It’s a square .

5.出示     What shape is it ? It’s a square .

(1) Look, what is this in English ? (把图贴在黑板上添几笔成风筝it’s a kite .) What shape is the kite ? Do you like this kite ?

(2) 贴小男孩图片the boy likes this kite , too. Let’s have a look what is the boy doing ? 学生回答He’s flying a kite .

电脑显示fly-fly a kite 指名读

Say a rhyme: Fly , fly a kite

(3) Question : What shape is the kite ?

What shape is the bag ?

6         look at the picture . What shape is it ? If you are do the excises , the first one is ‘Listen and circle’ 指名读,分组读

1Boys and girls , look , I can draw a circle . Can you draw a circle ? Come to the blackboard and show us how to do it . 分解句子

a.生读Come to the blackboard  师读and show us how to do it 重复几次后,互换朗读内容。

b.打着节拍读,逐渐加快速度读

c.找五名学生上台画圆圈,其他学生打着节拍说“show us , show us , show us how to do it .

7. Play a guessing game :

电脑显示         Is it a cake / …? 引出the sun , the moon 指名读,书空单词。

Have a chant :

Sun , sun . What shape is the sun ?

Circle , circle . It’s a circle .

Moon , moon . What shape is the moon ?

Circle , circle , It’s a circle .

三、Part A

1. Watch the cartoon

Boys and girls ,I’m teaching you about shapes .Miss Li is teaching her students about shapes , too . What are they talking about ? Let’s watch the cartoon .

2. Look and read the question :

a. What shape is the boy’s kite ?

b. What shape is the boy’s bag ?

c. Can Liu Tao draw a circle ?

d. What shape is the moon ?

(1) 听课文前半部分,回答a. b

(2) 听课文后半部分,回答c. d

3.Listen and repeat

4. 小组读或者自己读

5.分角色朗读

6. Do the work

 

 

Miss Li and her students are having an Art lesson. She is teaching them about shapes. The boy in the picture is flying a kite. The kite is a square. His bag is a rectangle.
